Illumination Accounting & Consulting, a Twin Cities-based client advisory services firm, seeks an experienced accounting professional to own day-to-day coding, reconciliations, and monthly close for a diverse client portfolio.

You will serve as the primary client contact, communicate clearly with owners, handle multi-entity accounting, and contribute to automation and workflow improvements in a fully remote, flexible schedule environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accrual accounting experience including full-cycle bookkeeping (AP, AR, reconciliations, coding).
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients about day-to-day accounting matters.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online across multiple client entities.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of client engagements, including day-to-day coding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Serve as a client point of contact for day-to-day accounting questions and requests.
• Complete monthly close tasks and prepare financial reporting for Senior Accountant or Manager review.
• Support multi-entity accounting for real estate clients as assigned, including intercompany reconciliations and property-level reporting.
• Accurately code and classify transactions across multiple client systems (QBO, Bill.com, and others).
• Identify discrepancies, unusual activity, or process breakdowns and elevate to the Senior Accountant or Manager.
• Assist with client onboarding and bookkeeping cleanup projects as needed.
• Build proficiency in construction- and real-estate-specific systems and workflows.
• Contribute to workflow improvement and AI-driven efficiency initiatives.
