Qualifications

• 3 years of carrier sales, freight brokerage, dispatching, or logistics experience may be substituted for formal education.
• FMCSA compliance, carrier qualification, and use of DAT/Truckstop and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source trucks for loads using DAT, Truckstop, and networks.
• Build and maintain a network of reliable carriers and drivers.
• Match freight with equipment types (dry van, reefer, flatbed).
• Verify carrier credentials, safety ratings, insurance, and FMCSA compliance.
• Negotiate competitive rates while protecting margins and service quality.
• Communicate load details clearly to dispatchers and drivers.
