Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager for Central Ohio to lead strategic engagement with major accounts across inpatient and ambulatory settings. You will build account plans, drive access, and coordinate with field teams to optimize portfolio utilization.

You will interact with clinical and financial leaders, present data, and navigate payer and hospital processes to achieve ambitious cardiovascular objectives. Amgen offers comprehensive rewards and flexible work options.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree & 2 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience
• Master’s degree & 4 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience
• Bachelor’s degree & 6 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience
• 3+ years of account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree (e.g. MPH, MBA, PharmD, etc.) 7+ years of healthcare sales and/or marketing experience or related experience in buying processes and decision making.
• Cardiology experience, including dyslipidemia, heart failure and acute coronary syndromes, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic lead for assigned key accounts and implement compliant, innovative strategies.
• Ensure institutional availability across inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
• Lead implementation initiatives to drive institutional utilization.
• Develop/account plans aligned to cardiovascular unit strategy and market needs.
• Collaborate with field teams and medical science liaison(s) as appropriate.
• Meet with hospital decision-makers within assigned accounts to drive portfolio utilization.
• Present MAC-approved data/messages and ensure compliant delivery.
• Coordinate pull-through initiatives with field sales and access teams.
• Provide field intelligence to Analytics, Brand, and Market Access teams.
