Job summary

MedHQ, LLC is seeking an Ambulatory Surgery Center Cardiology Coder to review, interpret, and code outpatient cardiology procedures in an ASC setting. You will ensure documentation supports codes, align with CMS and payer rules, and support the revenue cycle.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of outpatient coding experience with cardiology focus, CPC/COC/CCS-P or equivalent certification, and strong EMR/EHR proficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years outpatient coding experience, with at least 1 year focused on cardiology.
• Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding.
• Knowledge of CMS guidelines and ASC billing rules.
• Ability to query physicians for documentation gaps.

Responsibilities

• Code assignment & review for outpatient cardiology procedures in an ASC setting.
• Ensure coding aligns with CMS guidelines and payer policies; perform audits.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to resolve coding issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and seek continuing education.
