Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time remote Certified Coder - Cardiology to verify and analyze medical records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure coding accuracy. You will serve as a liaison between the Central Billing Office and multiple departments and assist in training staff on coding practices.

The role requires cardiology coding experience and a credentialing plan within 18 months, with a focus on maintaining high accuracy and supporting physicians and office staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Health Record Technology or a related healthcare field with two years of professional coding experience, or three years of experience with relevant credentials.
• Must obtain Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credentials within 18 months of employment if not already certified
• At least two years of experience specifically in cardiology coding.

Responsibilities

• Verify and analyze medical records to determine diagnoses and procedures, assigning appropriate codes with a minimum 95% accuracy rate
• Serve as a liaison between the Central Billing Office and various departments, assisting in training new employees in coding practices
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and compliance issues, while providing expert support to physicians and office staff
