Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. is seeking a Captive Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of captive insurance companies in Colchester, VT or remotely.

You will serve as a senior contact to management and clients, guiding GAAP/IFRS reporting and regulatory filings. You will lead the preparation of monthly statements, liaison with auditors and service providers, mentor teammates, and help shape advisory services while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality across diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 8-12 years’ experience in position with similar duties.
• IFRS and statutory accounting expertise.
• CPA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on compliance requirements, investment regulations and current accounting developments that affect clients.
• Prepare and/or review monthly financial statement package and management review for captive clients.
• Maintain ledgers, reconciliations and custom financial reports for captive clients.
• Oversee training and development of teammates.
• Coordinate with auditors, actuaries, tax authorities, regulators and other providers.
• Prepare and/or review regulatory filings and NAIC filings.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets and ad hoc reports.
• Work with Acumatica and Velixo to prepare financial statements.

Education
