Propio Language Services is seeking Remote Cantonese Contract Interpreters to support our OnDemand PropioONE service. You will perform consecutive interpretation remotely for diverse clients, adhering to Propio policies and confidentiality requirements.

The role emphasizes high accuracy, professional ethics, and ongoing terminology development across medical, legal, and social services contexts. A background check and HIPAA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Resume in English submitted at time of application.
• ILR level 3+ English proficiency (technical proficiency) required.
• Pass mock oral interpretation session with a passing score.
• Complete Propio's Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology assessment with a passing score.
• Background check and security screen completed.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
• Preferred: 1+ years of interpreting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides consecutive, first-person interpretation.
• Follows interpreter protocols and procedures for Propio Language Services clients.
• Follows all policies on confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Continuously expands vocabulary and subject matter knowledge (medical, legal, social services).
