Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking a Remote Cantonese Contract Interpreter to support our PropioONE OnDemand service. This role involves delivering consecutive interpretation with strict adherence to client protocols and confidentiality standards.

Qualified candidates will have English resume, ILR 3+ technical proficiency, and successful completion of Propio's medical terminology assessment, plus a background check and HIPAA compliance. Prior interpreting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Submission of an English resume at time of application.
• English proficiency at ILR level 3 or higher (technical proficiency).
• Successful completion of Mockoral interpretation session with passing score.
• Completion of Propio's Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology Assessment with a passing score.
• Background check and security screening; confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides consecutive interpretation (first-person).
• Follows interpreter protocols and Propio LS policies.
• Maintains confidentiality and interpreter ethics per Propio requirements.
• Continuously expands vocabulary and subject matter knowledge for medical, legal, social services contexts.
