UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a Cancer Registry Specialist to coordinate data reporting to accrediting bodies and manage case abstracts for CoC/NAPBC compliance. The role requires leadership, extensive registry knowledge, and strong data management skills.

Responsibilities include coordinating conferences, preparing calendars, and ensuring timely submissions to state agencies. A HIM degree is required with 5+ years in cancer registry and experience with CoC programs.

• Associate degree in Health Information Management required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years cancer registry experience required.
• Experience with CoC Accredited Cancer Programs required.
• Experience preparing for CoC/NAPBC surveys and managing submissions to state requirements required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates activities and monitors compliance for reporting cancer-related data to accrediting bodies.
• Abstracts and submits cancer cases according to prescribed requirements.
• Performs research and provides accurate statistical data responses to registry inquiries.
• Coordinates institutional conferences including publishing calendars, preparing conference rooms, gathering case data, tracking physician attendance, and documenting meeting minutes.
• Performs monthly case finding to ensure all reportable cases are identified.
