Job summary

Our Lady of the Lake Health is seeking a Program Manager for the Cancer Registry and CoC accreditation management. The incumbent will oversee abstracting for thousands of cancer cases annually, coordinate with the cancer committee, and drive data-driven decisions to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include leading CTR staff, maintaining registry software, supervising education, and ensuring compliance with CoC, NPCR/NAACCR, SEER, and LTR standards.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 5 years of cancer registry abstracting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is required; CTR may substitute.
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, abstracting and coding principles; SEER, NAACCR, CoC guidelines; LTR.
• Strong understanding of coding and staging guidelines and CoC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead cancer registry operations, assign abstracting tasks, monitor status for all cases.
• Coordinate weekly tumor conference planning and report activity to the cancer committee.
• Ensure data quality through audits, data submission to CoC, NCDB, and RQRS; maintain CNExT and data elements.
