Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking motivated individuals to contact blood donors and schedule appointments from a Tucson area remote call center. You will follow scripts, maintain accurate donor records, and strive to maximize donor show rates in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in telemarketing, customer service, or a call center. Strong computer skills and exceptional customer service are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of related experience in telemarketing, customer service or call center.
• Proficient in using multiple computer applications in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal communication and ability to handle difficult customers.

Responsibilities

• Contact blood donors by telephone using a dialer system to recruit for blood donation and update donor records.
• Schedule appointments to maximize donor show rates.
• Follow scripting to ensure a consistent donor experience.
• Maintain daily production standards for calls and appointments.
• Develop knowledge of donor criteria to inform eligibility and reduce deferrals.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts and appointments.
• Coordinate donor recruitment programs to increase donor base.
