Job summary

Remotebridge seeks a Hardware Expert to translate dimensioned drawings into precise 3D CAD models for an AI training project. You’ll use Python to generate or automate CAD geometry and export watertight STEP files.

Strong geometry and spatial reasoning are essential, along with the ability to validate models against strict geometric and physical requirements. This is a fully remote, contractor role (~15 hours/week) with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong Python programming ability.
• Experience with 3D CAD or computational geometry.
• Strong 3D spatial reasoning and geometric precision.
• Experience validating or troubleshooting CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Interpret dimensions and geometric relationships from technical drawings.
• Translate 2D schematics into accurate 3D mechanical models.
• Decompose complex components into geometric features.
• Model curved profiles, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean operations.
• Use Python to generate or automate CAD geometry.
• Export valid, watertight models in STEP format.
• Validate dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, and inertia.
