Job summary

Remotebridge is seeking a CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist (FreeCAD) on a contract basis. The role focuses on producing accurate parametric CAD models, building a library of mechanical parts for AI training, and applying GD&T to ensure real-world manufacturability.

You may automate tasks with Python and must document workflows for reproducibility. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in mechanical design or CAD, strong FreeCAD experience, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical design, CAD modeling or industrial engineering
• Strong experience with FreeCAD or equivalent parametric CAD
• Proficiency in GD&T and CAD data validation
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on precision and quality
• Experience preparing engineering documentation for varied audiences

Responsibilities

• Produce, edit, and validate precise parametric CAD models using FreeCAD with geometric accuracy
• Develop a library of mechanical parts, assemblies, and features for AI dataset creation
• Apply GD&T to reflect real-world manufacturing standards
• Conduct QA reviews of CAD data and resolve discrepancies with documentation
• Implement feedback to refine CAD deliverables for evolving requirements
• Optionally use Python scripting to automate modeling tasks
• Document modeling workflows and decisions for reproducibility
