Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Three years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent.
• California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP certification preferred or must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex CA workers' compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure; manages claims through action plans to resolution.
• Negotiates settlements within designated authority.
• Calculates reserves and ensures adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
• Makes timely payments and adjustments; settles claims within authority levels.
• Prepares state filings within statutory limits; supports litigation processes and cost-effective resolutions.
