Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Defect Defense Attorney for a 100% remote role, working on California matters with a nationwide footprint. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction defect defense and an active CA Bar license, ready to manage a busy caseload from inception through resolution.

This position offers generous compensation ($150k–$200k per year), strong support staff, flexible remote work, and opportunities to own cases and contribute immediately in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Construction Defect experience (DEFENSE REQUIRED).
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Recent California litigation experience required.
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court systems.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of construction defect and personal injury defense matters
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs
• Handle written discovery and depositions
• Work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and experts
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Develop case strategy and manage files independently
• Collaborate with a strong team of attorneys and litigation support staff
• Maintain an 1800 billable requirement with strong support staff and efficient workflow
