Jobot is seeking a Construction Defect Defense Attorney for a fully remote role. You’ll handle California-based defense matters while residing anywhere in the United States, with CA Bar required and recent CA litigation experience.

You’ll manage a demanding caseload, draft motions and briefs, and collaborate with insurance carriers and experts. A robust support staff and competitive compensation accompany a strong firm culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Construction Defect experience (DEFENSE REQUIRED).
• Additional experience in insurance defense / personal injury defense.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Recent California litigation experience; knowledge of CA civil procedure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of construction defect and personal injury defense matters.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.
• Handle written discovery and depositions.
• Work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and experts.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Develop case strategy and manage files independently.
• Collaborate with a strong team of attorneys and litigation support staff.
• Maintain 1800 billable hour requirement with strong support staff and efficient workflow.
