Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a talented C# Developer for a 100% remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. You will design, develop, test and deploy back-end services using .NET, C#, and RESTful APIs within an Agile team environment.

Required: strong C#/.NET experience, MVC, SQL Server, Azure/AWS, CI/CD, and unit testing. U.S. citizenship and public trust clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with .NET Core and C# in back-end development.
• MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of OOP and design patterns.
• SQL Server with Entity Framework experience.
• Cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS).
• Version control with Git and TFVC.
• CI/CD practices and tools (CodePipeline/CodeDeploy).
• Unit testing with NUnit/xUnit/MSTest.
• Proficient with Visual Studio and VS Code.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Agile development (Scrum/Kanban).

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, requirements definition, test planning/execution, and software system integration.
• Provide software system product services including design, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Join daily stand-ups as an active member of the development team.
• Develop .NET back-end services using C#, unit testing, and CI/CD deployments.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Support production solutions as needed.
• Promote modular, testable code and agile best practices.
• Document software designs and diagrams.
• Use IDEs like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git.
