Job summary

Ensono is seeking an Expert C++ Software Engineer for a remote role in the United States. You will design, develop, and maintain production‑level C++ systems, lead architectural decisions, mentor peers, and drive best practices across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of dynamic memory allocation, RAII, smart pointers (unique_ptr, shared_ptr, weak_ptr)
• Experience diagnosing memory leaks, dangling pointers, and buffer overflows
• Strong command of C++ threading model (std::thread, std::mutex, std::atomic, std::condition_variable)
• Experience with lock‑free and wait‑free programming patterns
• Ability to resolve race conditions, deadlocks, and thread‑safety issues
• Expert‑level CMake for cross‑platform build configuration
• Proficiency with Docker for containerised development and deployment
• Hands‑on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Advanced use of GDB for low‑level debugging and post‑mortem analysis
• Proficiency with Valgrind (Memcheck, Helgrind, Callgrind) for memory and thread analysis
• Bachelor’s or master’s in CS or related field; equivalent experience
• Soft skills: problem solving, communication, independence and teamwork
• US Citizen

• Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards

• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and drive technical growth

• Interact with relational data sources using SQL when required
• Manage source control and release workflows with Git
• Participate in system design discussions and effort estimation
