Job summary

Ensono is seeking an Expert C++ Software Engineer to join a remote team in the United States. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high‑performance C++ systems with leadership responsibilities across the lifecycle.

You will mentor peers, drive architectural decisions, and ensure robust build and deployment practices using CMake, Docker, and modern CI/CD tools in a Linux environment. A strong CS/SE degree and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of dynamic memory allocation, RAII and smart pointers.
• Diagnose and resolve memory leaks, dangling pointers and overflows.
• Strong CMake experience for cross‑platform build configuration.
• Hands‑on with Docker for containerised development and deployment.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Advanced use of GDB for debugging and performance profiling.
• Proficiency with Valgrind tools for memory and thread analysis.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or related.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop and maintain high‑performance C++ systems.
• Drive architectural decisions, mentor peers and enforce best practices.
• Lead code reviews and ensure coding standards across the team.
• Define and maintain CMake build systems and multi‑platform configs.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Docker workflows.
• Diagnose complex issues using GDB/Valgrind and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a Linux environment.
