Job summary

DriveSavers Data Recovery Inc. seeks an experienced software engineer skilled in C/C++ to analyze proprietary storage formats and build robust recovery tools. This hands-on role focuses on low-level analysis of damaged or inaccessible systems to retrieve critical data.

You'll implement parsing and data reconstruction libraries, collaborate to validate results, and contribute to build and automation pipelines using Git, GitHub Actions, and Conan. Remote-friendly with global applicants and U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience with C/C++ at systems level and performance-critical development.
• Experience with binary data formats, storage technologies, and file system internals.
• Familiarity with backup solutions; compression and encryption implementations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze proprietary on-disk formats and metadata to guide recovery strategies across storage layers.
• Design and implement libraries and applications in C/C++ for parsing, reconstructing and extracting data from storage systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to validate tool output and improve recovery workflows.
• Contribute to build systems and automation by integrating tools with Git, CI pipelines, and dependency managers (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Conan).
