Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Harvard Training Portal (HTP) team, supporting a large-scale administrative systems upgrade. The role involves data integration, configuration, testing, and project activity across a cross-functional team, with focus on delivering sustainable, improved solutions and robust reporting for operational needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of information technology applications and processes.
• Demonstrated team performance skills and service mindset.
• Experience administering or configuring a Learning Management System (CBX/SBX or similar SaaS).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across functional teams and adapt to priorities.
• Ability to develop, validate, and interpret reports using enterprise software and BI tools.
• Experience creating technical documentation and user guides.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal staff and external consultants on system upgrades, integrations, testing, and readiness.
• Identify opportunities to enhance user experience during migration to the new system.
• Analyze, develop, and communicate technical solutions; modify procedures to solve complex issues.
• Balance needs of client groups with university-wide requirements in a large, decentralized environment.
• Collaborate with core team members across workstreams to achieve goals.
• Support UAT by developing test scenarios, coordinating tests, analyzing results, and tracking defects.
