Qualifications

• Certified — ICC Residential Building Inspector; one additional certification such as ICC Commercial Building Inspector or Plans Examiner is required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect on-site for IRC/IBC/IFC code compliance and issue notices.
• Review proposed routine residential and complex projects for conformance with IRC and other codes.
• Mentor Building Inspector 1–2 and assist training; collaborate with contractors, architects, and owners.
