Job summary

Elevate is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee electrification and decarbonization projects from start to finish. You will coordinate with owners, contractors, engineers, and internal teams, ensuring on-scope delivery and timely completion.

The role involves site assessments, budget oversight, and data reporting, with a focus on equitable climate action. The position is remote with on-site work required in Portland, Oregon, and occasional travel across the Pacific Northwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant lived experience with at least five (5+) years demonstrated experience with energy auditing, building science, construction management, or energy engineering
• Experience with various trades and knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
• In-depth understanding of energy efficiency, environmental health, and electrification programs
• Ability to convey technical information to contractors and document requirements
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across internal and external teams and clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to manage a high volume of work and complex situations

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and work closely with external contractors, program management, engineering, and other team members in the delivery of electrification projects
• Conduct scoping walkthroughs, project oversight, installation verifications, and closeout; report installation verifications and approve invoices
• Support property owners to develop construction project plans, budgets, and timelines, and coordinate with other program stakeholders
• Act as the primary construction point of contact, document activity in project management software, and keep teams informed about progress
• Monitor project schedules, identify delays or safety issues, and work with contractors and property owners to overcome delays
• Conduct on-site energy efficiency and decarbonization assessments and provide analysis and reporting with engineering support
• Monitor costs and review budget adherence and change orders
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance and communicate safety expectations
