Job summary

Control Solutions Inc. is seeking a Service Software Engineer to resolve customer queries and guide users of our building management system across multiple platforms. You will communicate clearly, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely solutions to clients.

The role involves assisting with Trend, Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Distech, and Alerton products, while collaborating with field technicians and occasionally training junior staff. Remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in the mechanical and Building Automation Industry.
• Hands-on experience with Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Distech environments.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities across mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with technical problems when using our products and services including Trend, Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Distech, and Alerton.
• Respond to customers in a timely and accurate way via phone, email, or text.
• Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution.
• Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve system issues.
• Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
• Analyze and report issues with the existing building management system.
• Offer the best possible solution to repair the issue at hand.
• Update our internal databases with information about technical issues and useful discussions with customers.
• Inform customers about new features, functionalities, and upgrades.
• Follow up with customers to ensure their technical issues are resolved.
• Assist in training junior Customer Support Engineers.
• Work with onsite Field Technicians when applicable.
• Rotate into oncall schedule.
