Job summary

Siemens Industry, Inc. is hiring a Building Automation Controls Engineer to design BAS solutions for data centers, hospitals, and labs.

You will work with engineers, contractors, and delivery teams to translate project requirements into compliant engineering packages and to ensure design intent is met. The role requires 5+ years of HVAC controls experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to travel up to 35% with some team events and site visits.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in building automation (HVAC controls) design.
• Ability to travel up to 35% and occasional travel for team events or project kick-offs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of design standards.

Responsibilities

• Translate owner and project requirements into BAS designs for data centers, hospitals, labs, and high-rise buildings.
• Collaborate with Engineers of Record, contractors, and delivery teams to address risks and drive cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare design documents including mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, BOMs, and control sequences.
• Mentor junior staff and perform quality assurance reviews of engineering documents.
