Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Senior Building Automation Design Engineer – PLC & Industrial Controls to lead complex automation projects for data centers and critical facilities. You will translate project requirements into complete control-system designs, drawings, and documentation for execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, industrial controls, or PLC-based control system design.
• Proven ability to lead the design of complex automation projects with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD or Visio.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP and PLC-based control systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of building automation and PLC-based control solutions for data centers, pharma facilities, labs, and central utility plants.
• Design PLC and DDC control strategies for HVAC systems, ensuring submittals and commissioning documentation.
• Develop automation network architectures using BACnet, Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP and related platforms.
• Coordinate with programmers, PMs, technicians, and customers to ensure designs are executable and compliant.
