Thimble Alterations is seeking an experienced bridal and formalwear alterations contractor in Texas. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and related formalwear, manage fittings, and deliver precise finishing within agreed timelines.

Work from home as an independent contractor. You’ll handle requests from local clients via the platform, choosing jobs that fit your schedule, and grow your client base through your profile.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precise measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, including hems, bodices, zippers, and fit adjustments.
• Work with structured bridal gowns (layers, lace, beading, linings).
• Take precise measurements and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace for fittings.
• Handle requests for prom dresses and other formalwear as they arise.
