Job summary

Thimble Alterations LLC is seeking experienced bridal alteration professionals to join a network of independent contractors. You will alter bridal and wedding wear, perform fittings, and provide timely communication to clients, all from your own workspace.

Ideal candidates have proven experience with bridal/formalwear alterations, strong garment construction knowledge, precise measuring, and proficient sewing skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
