Job summary

The Consortium is seeking a part-time data analyst with epidemiologic expertise to support a Brain Health team. You will work remotely on about 20 hours per week, with potential to grow to full time.

The role involves analyzing national health datasets and preparing reports, tables, and visuals for diverse audiences. You will develop analytic plans, manage large survey data, and translate findings into clear conclusions for both technical and nontechnical readers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or related field.
• Experience analyzing large population-based health or social science datasets.
• Proficiency with SAS, Stata, or R for complex survey data.
• Knowledge of epidemiologic and biostatistical methods and survey design.
• Strong ability to interpret and communicate quantitative findings.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses of national health and aging datasets (NHIS, BRFSS, HRS).
• Develop analytic plans in collaboration with Brain Health staff.
• Clean, recode and analyze complex survey data with weights and design vars.
• Perform descriptive and multivariable analyses on prevalence and trends.
• Create tables, figures, and data visualizations for reports and briefs.
• Translate analytic results for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Review literature to contextualize findings and inform methods.
• Document analytic methods, data sources and variable definitions.
• Provide additional epidemiologic and data analysis support as needed.
