Job summary

Breakwater Accounting + Advisory is seeking a motivated Bookkeeper to support Private Client Segment serving High Net Worth families. You will record transactions, manage reconciliations, and ensure accurate client records while collaborating with a close-knit team.

This fully remote role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent client-facing communication. EST or CST time zones preferred; company provides full benefits and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of accounting and/or bookkeeping for High Net Worth families.
• Familiarity with Trusts and Estates and various entity types.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO) within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Record and classify financial activity with meticulous detail.
• Assist in reconciliations, reporting, AP/AR, and payroll duties.
• Ensure documentation and notes are accurately entered into client records.
• Support onboarding of new clients from other providers and systems.
• Communicate with family members, vendors, and advisors daily.
• Learn new accounting platforms and software to grow expertise.
