Job summary

Abstra is seeking an experienced BMS/EMPS Software Developer to design and build next-generation building management and energy management systems for high-density data centers. You will work with Niagara, Ignition, or comparable automation platforms to deliver scalable, reliable controls and monitoring solutions, with 100% remote work from LATAM and working hours aligned to US Pacific Time.

This role requires strong hands-on development of BMS/EMPS applications, integration with

Qualifications

• Design, develop and maintain BMS/EMPS apps for HVAC, power, cooling and security.
• Integrate with DCIM, CMMS, SCADA, digital twins and real-time monitoring.
• Build modules, drivers and APIs for equipment integration (chillers, CRACs, PDUs, UPS).
• Develop energy optimization logic, FDD, alerting and dashboards.
• Collaborate with controls engineers and operations teams to translate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain BMS/EMPS applications on Niagara, Ignition or equivalents.
• Integrate with DCIM, CMMS, SCADA, digital twins and real-time monitoring.
• Develop modules and APIs for seamless equipment integration (chillers, UPS, generators).
• Create energy optimization logic, fault diagnostics, and performance dashboards.
• Support deployment, testing, troubleshooting and live data center operations.
