Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist to advance epidemiologic and health policy research. The role involves coordinating research development with lead investigators, designing analytical approaches, and producing papers and presentations.

You will develop SAS code, mentor junior analysts, and present findings to diverse audiences, including clinicians and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.)
• Demonstrated history of progressively more responsible statistical programming experience
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (i.e., conducting survival analysis)
• Strong oral/written communication skills with a wide variety of audiences, including sponsors and policy makers
• Demonstrated Arbor Research project/contract expertise
• Contributions to field of health services research, biostatistics, or epidemiology; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Health research background

Responsibilities

• Work with lead investigators to coordinate research development and ensure timely completion of assignments
• Contribute to the design of analytical approaches for specific research questions
• Develop SAS code for completing analyses and verify accuracy of coding
• Prepare medical and statistical research papers and presentations in support of epidemiologic and health policy research
• Present results clearly in public forums to biostatisticians and clinicians and represent Arbor Research
• Attend committee meetings, conference calls, and national/international conferences
• Contribute to writing and production of proposals for new projects
• Mentor junior Research Analysts to help implement statistical analyses
