Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist to advance epidemiologic and health policy research. The role involves coordinating with lead investigators, designing analytical approaches, and delivering timely, accurate analyses and manuscripts.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, with 4+ years of statistical programming experience, especially SAS, and strong communication skills for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.)
• Demonstrated history of progressively more responsible statistical programming experience
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (i.e., conducting survival analysis)
• Strong oral/written communication skills with a wide variety of audiences, including sponsors and policy makers
• Demonstrated Arbor Research project/contract expertise
• Contributions to field of health services research, biostatistics, or epidemiology; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Health research background

Responsibilities

• Work with the lead investigators to coordinate research development and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Contribute to design of analytical approaches for specific research questions.
• Adhere to strategies and tools to ensure accuracy, programming, and documentation standards.
• Prepare medical and statistical research papers and presentations in support of epidemiologic and health policy research.
• Assist authors with preparing tables and figures for written materials.
• Present results clearly in public forums to biostatisticians and clinicians.
