Job summary

ERM is hiring a Biologist - Remote Desktop Analyst Coordinator to join the Impact Assessment Environmental Clearance team. This remote position is based in Irvine, CA and focuses on environmental review and constraints analysis for construction sites in Southern California.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week), fixed-term for 3 months with possible extension. Requires BA/BS or MS in a natural science, 2+ years field experience in CA habitats, and proficiency in Excel and data management

Qualifications

2+ years of field experience in California habitats, or similar (Southern California experience preferred).
Must be able to obtain clearance through client background check to access online system.
Strong proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and online data management systems.
Excellent time management and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct desktop reviews for environmental clearance work using biological and water resource data.
Perform desktop-based environmental constraints analysis to determine avoidance/minimization measures for compliance.
Complete work per ERM's management system, format and quality standards.
Follow established processes while identifying opportunities for process improvements to benefit the client.
Process data in Microsoft Excel; train to be proficient in client Work Management Systems.
Adhere to ERM's safety program; potential to use ArcGIS Online for desktop constraint reviews.
