Job summary

Twist Bioscience is seeking a customer-facing bioinformatics professional to serve as a technical application scientist for Twist’s customers and to be an integral part of our Sales team. This role will function as a liaison between the customer and Twist to help customers understand the scientific and technical challenges they are facing and how these may be solved through deployment of our custom NGS panels.

The role can be remote, with travel requirements of up to 10%.

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics or related field with 2+ years biotech/commercial Genomics experience.
• BS or MS with 7+ years biotech/commercial Genomics experience.
• Strong knowledge of NGS applications and bioinformatics for data analysis.
• Experience with Linux and command line.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales support for Twist’s NGS panels.
• Design and support custom NGS panel designs.
• Provide bioinformatics support for NGS data analysis.
• Support sales in technical discussions and meetings.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Product Marketing.
• Stay current with genomic research.
• Travel up to 10% for customer engagements.
