Job summary

Twist Bioscience Corporation is seeking a customer-facing bioinformatics professional to serve as a Technical Applications Scientist. This role supports Twist’s sales team and customers in deploying our NGS panels, translating requirements to internal teams, and providing pre- and post-sales assistance.

Qualifications

• PhD or BS/MS with extensive biotech/commercial genomics experience.
• Proficient in NGS data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience with Linux and command-line tools is required.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly with customers.
• Knowledge of NGS panels, target enrichment, and genomic research.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for NGS panels.
• Design and support custom NGS panel designs via established workflows.
• Offer bioinformatics support for NGS data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Assist sales team in technical discussions and meetings with customers.
• Advise on experiments and guide customers in using Twist products.
• Stay updated on genomic research and trends; liaise with internal teams.
• Travel up to 10% to meet customers and support field activities.
• Ensure compliance with QMS/ISMS and ISO 13485 standards.
