Job summary

Lorven Technologies Inc. is seeking a Bioinformatics Engineer for a remote project. You will apply NGS data analysis, build bioinformatics pipelines, and collaborate with cloud and CI/CD teams.

Responsibilities include developing REST APIs, processing genomic data, and using Nextflow/Cromwell workflows, with proficiency in Python, AWS, Docker, and CI/CD. Remote work available, strong communication required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/IT or related field.
• 3 years bioinformatics experience with Bachelor's or 1 year with Master's.
• Strong NGS and sequencing data analysis experience.
• Hands-on variant analysis and genomic data processing.
• Advanced Python scripting/programming skills.
• Experience with Nextflow, Cromwell, CWL, or similar workflow engines.
• Experience with DRAGEN, BWA, VEP, FastQC, MultiQC, Samtools, Bedtools.
• Strong AWS cloud, Docker, Git and CI/CD experience.
• Experience developing REST/JSON APIs, databases and bioinformatics applications.
• Experience with R, Jupyter, R Markdown and data visualization preferred.
• Clinical diagnostics/CAP-CLIA regulated environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret genomic sequencing data.
• Develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and workflows.
• Create and maintain REST/JSON APIs and databases for bioinformatics apps.
• Collaborate with cloud and CI/CD teams to deploy pipelines.
• Provide data visualization and reporting capabilities.
