Job summary

Collective is seeking a Billing Specialist to own the member lifecycle billing in Stripe and our platform. You will process refunds, credits, and offboarding billing, resolve disputes, and ensure accuracy and policy adherence.

You will identify recurring issues, document guidance, and help build better billing processes. This 12-month contract role is remote and highly collaborative with Finance, Ops, Sales, and Success teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of billing or accounts receivable experience.
• Experience with Stripe subscriptions and disputes.
• Ability to explain billing events clearly and simply.
• Comfort working in a cross-platform ticketing environment.

Responsibilities

• Process refunds and credits in Stripe.
• QA vendor invoices end-to-end from issue flag to resolution.
• Process offboarding billing and subscription cancellations.
• Manage member disputes and chargebacks end to end.
• Document recurring issues and suggest policy improvements.
• Keep billing SOPs current as policies change.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Member Success.
• Flag billing errors and potential revenue impact.
• Assist with ad hoc requests like failed payment reports.
