Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Billing Specialist III in the Revenue Cycle Department to perform advanced billing duties and support Nephrology. The role requires handling complex E&M services, coding edits, and authorizations while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.

Candidates should have 3 years of medical billing experience and a High School Diploma. The position offers a WFH option within the Dallas/Fort Worth area and a flexible 8-hour day, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years medical billing or collections experience; ability to handle complex E&M, procedures, and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, investigate and resolve coding edits for complex billing scenarios.
• Perform abstracting on E&M services and procedures.
• Monthly charge reconciliation; resolve denials and edits.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and support multiple service lines.
• May work in a hybrid/hybrid role within Dallas area.
