UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas seeks a Billing Integrity Specialist to develop and conduct presentations on coding, billing and compliance topics, based on regulatory information and internal risk areas. This role leads audits and supports quality improvement projects under MSRDP leadership.

The position requires 6 years in a professional billing environment with emphasis on coding, auditing and/or compliance, plus credentials such as CPC/CCS/CMC/CPMA or RN in some cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 years of experience in a professional billing environment with emphasis on coding, auditing and/or compliance responsibilities.
• Licenses such as CPC/CCS/CMC/CPMA are preferred or required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead billing integrity projects across service lines with minimal supervision.
• Develop and deliver professional coding, billing and compliance training for providers.
• Perform post-onboarding pre-bill review and educate new staff on procedures and documentation requirements.
• Conduct independent reviews of medical record documentation to support coding and billing.
