Job summary

Clearway is seeking a Billing Specialist to ensure timely revenue collection by coding and entering patient and charge data. The role requires navigating payer systems, following up on outstanding claims, and maintaining high accuracy in billing tasks.

The position is remote, with eligibility limited to states where we operate: MD, DE, VA, NJ, PA, FL, AL, GA, SC, and TX. Strong attention to detail and healthcare billing knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve payer denials and appeals.
• Analyze and resolve billing issues to keep A/R ≤10% over 60 days.
• Process daily correspondence, claim status, denials and re-bills.
• Answer billing questions from patients and internal staff.
• Update patient files with changes as needed.
• Research denials and submit correct claims and documentation.
