Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Professional Billing Specialist to handle follow-up and denials in a fast-paced academic medical environment. You will prepare and submit professional claims, correct routine errors, and work with payer rules to ensure timely payment.

The ideal candidate has HIPAA knowledge and at least 1 year of medical billing experience, with Epic experience for billing queues. CPB certification within 1 year is preferred, and the schedule is typically M-F with training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of Medical Insurance experience.
• CPB certification within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit professional claims; correct routine claim errors and rejections.
• Work assigned billing and follow-up queues in Epic.
• Apply foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer rules.
• Meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned
