Job summary

Family & Children's Services in the OKC/Norman area is seeking a Billing Specialist responsible for ensuring optimal and timely reimbursement by maintaining accurate client eligibility information and resolving errors before claims are filed.

You will work with clinicians to improve processes, review daily billing reports, and implement updates to capture billing timely. Requires knowledge of Medicaid rules, ODMHSAS, HIPAA, and proficient Excel skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years' Medicaid ODMHSAS eligibility verification, billing and authorizations in outpatient behavioral health.
• Experience with Medicare and other third party billings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate and complete assigned reports using EHR, Report Manager and PICIS.
• Ensure data accuracy submitted to guarantors/state agencies by updating client information in the EHR.
• Collaborate with staff and outside entities to correct errors and assist teams.
• Execute tasks per departmental processes and meet set goals.
• Review clinicians' daily billing reports for accuracy.
• Recommend updates to capture billing timely for the program.
