Qualifications

• Experience in revenue cycle functions within a hospital or clinic environment or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day billing and follow-up within PBS revenue operations.
• Documents claims billed, paid, settled, and follow-up in systems.
• Identifies and escalates issues affecting accurate billing and follow-up.
• Contacts payer directly for payment issues and responds to mail promptly.
• Communicates with hospital departments to clarify billing discrepancies and obtain information.
• Investigates overpayments, underpayments, and delays to maximize reimbursement.
• Researches claim rejections and takes corrective actions to ensure timely resolution.
• Proactively follow up on delayed payments by contacting patients and third-party payers.
