Rula is a remote-first company hiring in most U.S. states (excluding Hawaii). We seek an experienced accounts receivable collector to manage payers on the Revenue Cycle Management team and tackle complex billing challenges in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

You will investigate denials, optimize payer workflows, and mentor teammates while upholding high standards of accuracy and efficiency in revenue cycle operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a healthcare billing or medical claims role.
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance policies, claim processing, appeals, and recoupment procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of Denial Language and Carrier CARC Codes.
• Expert understanding of The Life Cycle of a Claim.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to evaluate complex cases and make informed decisions.
• Excel/Google Sheets proficient; can format data, create pivot tables, and charts.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned payers on the Revenue Cycle Management team as Billing Support Specialist.
• Investigate complex billing challenges and drive operational excellence.
• Investigate claim denials, navigate payer requirements, prioritize and resolve complex claims.
