Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking an experienced billing professional to support Tucson-area clinicians with charge entry, claims processing, and KPI-driven revenue cycle activities. The role involves liaising with the RCM vendor and practice operations to ensure timely billing, accurate reports, and adherence to budget targets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in large medical billing settings, with a track record of meeting turnaround times and escalating issues to leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum in a large medical practice or billing company, handling charge entry, claims processing, and claim edits/corrections.
• Experience with KPI tracking, budget variance reporting, and vendor coordination is required or preferred.
• Proven ability to liaise between practice operations and RCM vendor partners.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinicians’ charges are entered and billed in the Practice Management System daily.
• Act as liaison between the RCM vendor and practice/operations teams.
• Run and monitor daily charge reports; ensure charges balance and units are correct.
• Escalate errors to vendor or practice within KPI timeframes.
• Collaborate with vendor on unbilled claims and escalate when needed.
• Run daily activity reports; compare to budget targets and report variances.
• Communicate budget variances to RCM leadership.
• Assist practices with questions on claims pre- and post-billing.
• Ensure timely claim completion and escalate delinquent claims.
• Work with RCM vendor on credit balances applied to charges.
• Monitor unbilled claims and coordinate resolution.
• Produce reports for management and finance upon request.
• Compare monthly actual charges to budget and report shortfalls.
