Job summary

TogetherWork is seeking a Billing Contractor for a part-time remote role (20-25 hrs/week) focused on accounts receivable, collections follow-up, and subscription billing. The position supports multiple software systems and reports to the Billing & Special Projects Manager.

Ideal candidates are highly organized and comfortable communicating with clients about payments. This contractor role runs through December 2026 with a base pay of $25/hr.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding, overdue, or reversed payments.
• Communicate with clients regarding balances, payment issues, and payment plans.
• Maintain payment‑plan follow‑ups and document actions and next steps.
• Administer recurring and subscription billing, including invoices and updates.
• Support ad hoc invoicing and billing requests.
• Review billing information for accuracy and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with Support on billing escalations and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Provide daily status updates on completed work and follow‑ups.
• Handle customer billing information with discretion and care.
