Job summary

Eversheds Sutherland US LLP is seeking a Billing Analyst to manage all aspects of the firm’s client billing cycle, ensuring prebills and client bills are accurate and delivered on time.

This remote role requires collaboration with attorneys and experience with timekeeping systems. The position offers a salary range of $65,000–$95,000 with comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent combination of Associate’s degree and/or work experience.
• Three to five years of experience in client billing in a multi-office professional services org. Patent prosecution billing is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel; knowledge of timekeeping systems such as Aderant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly, quarterly and year-end client reports.
• Apply billing guidelines, fee schedules, and client-specific processes.
• Collaborate with attorneys on the billing cycle including prebills.
• Prepare Bills, e-bills, letters and discount summaries.
• Open and request CIMS as needed.
• Track accounts receivable and follow up on past due balances.
• Ensure billing information is accurate and communicates changes to Accounting.
• Verify accuracy of billing and supporting documents.
• Email/mail/e-bills to clients.
• Respond to client billing inquiries with timely, accurate information.
