Job summary

EK Health Services Inc. is seeking a Bill Review professional to analyze complex medical bills and guide providers on processing and pricing decisions. This remote role operates on PST hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, after start.

You will handle provider inquiries, clock in timely responses, and ensure accurate coding and bill resolution. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in bill review, knowledge of CPT/DRG, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years of experience in complex Workers' Compensation Bill Review with customer service exposure.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and DRG.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and Email.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, medical reports, state laws and fee schedules.
• Hospital Bill Review experience a plus.
• CPC coursework or certification a big plus.
• Strong written and oral communication & interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze all types of medical bills based on jurisdiction, medical notes, UCR, regulations, contracts, coding guidelines and client instructions.
• Explain bill processing and re-pricing methodology to providers.
• Receive provider calls, emails and voicemails and respond within 48 hours.
• Monitor the bill review process from receipt to final payment.
• Verify correct use of medical billing codes and report improper coding.
• Collaborate with Bill Review team on quality assurance issues.
• Communicate with providers to obtain information to resolve issues.
• Interact with clients, adjusters and providers with professional, rapid service.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
