Job summary

Welo Data, part of Welocalize, is seeking linguists to validate English-to-Bengali translations for a synthetic data program. You will review an English source alongside two machine-generated Bengali variants, selecting the preferred translation and writing a justification.

Samples are reviewed by three validators in a blind process, with strict adherence to project guidelines and deadlines. Ideal candidates are native Bengali speakers with strong English, a linguistics or translation

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Bengali (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in English.
• Background in linguistics, translation, or language quality assessment preferred.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and consistency.
• Familiarity with Romanized script conventions for transliteration tasks (a plus).
